Plant Operator – Komatsu PW168 Excavator
Location: Midlands
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Plant Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Komatsu PW168 wheeled excavator on a variety of construction, civil engineering, and groundwork projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Komatsu PW168 excavator safely and efficiently.
- Carry out excavation, grading, trenching, loading, and material handling tasks.
- Conduct daily machine inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Work closely with site supervisors and groundworkers to deliver projects on
schedule. - Report any defects, hazards, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment on site.
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Excavator Operator qualification.
- Proven experience operating a Komatsu PW168 or similar wheeled excavator.
- Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in drainage, utilities, groundwork, or civil engineering projects.
- Lifting Operations endorsement.
- Additional plant tickets or qualifications.

Experienced Deep Drainage Gangs Required – Commercial Projects
We are seeking experienced and professional Deep Drainage Gangs for ongoing commercial infrastructure projects across the Midlands in Leicester,Coventry and Derby.
Successful gangs will have proven experience delivering deep drainage works to a high standard, including:
- Deep drainage installation
- Concrete and plastic pipe laying to laser levels
- Manholes, chambers, and attenuation systems
- Working with trench boxes and deep excavations up to 5m deep, sometimes in poor ground conditions
Positions within gangs may include:
- 360 Excavator Operators
- Groundworkers
- Pipe Layers
- Top Men
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS cards essential
- EUSR 3-4 & 5 certificates preferred
- Plant operators to have an up to date medical certificate
- CPCS/NPORS tickets advantageous
- Previous commercial project experience required
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently and meet programme deadlines

Due to increase in projects this year we are currently seeking, reliable experienced and qualified 360, Dozer Telehandler, F/T Dumper, Dump Truck, Slinger / signaller, Lifting Ops Drivers who are enthusiastic team players to join a great team!
Essential:
Experience working as plant operators
Qualifications appropriate to work undertaken including an appropriate CPCS / NPORS Card for operating Plant
An ability and willingness to travel to and from the location of work each day
An ability to work on their own and as part of a team
